Our olive grove
In our olive grove in Vochaiko, Corinthia, near Vrachati and Kiato, in the wider Corinth area of Greece, we produce a limited quantity of exceptional extra virgin olive oil. The very same olive oil we offer in our e-shop is the one we consume ourselves.
This means that we take great care throughout the entire process, from the grove to the olive mill, where our olives are pressed within just a few hours of harvesting.
Our trees are not treated with any pesticides, organic or otherwise. We also do not plough the land, allowing the life of the soil to thrive and preserving the natural balance of our small ecosystem.
Pesticide free
We do not use insecticides or chemical pesticides in our crops. We choose to cultivate with respect for nature, allowing the ecosystem of our farm to maintain its own balance and preserve the life of the soil.
Closed loop
We strive to maintain our farm as a closed ecosystem as much as possible, returning to the soil the nutrients that are removed through harvesting. Plant residues become compost, prunings are used as ground cover, and our food becomes manure, transforming everything back into organic matter and thus closing the natural cycle of nutrients.
Home grown
Our products are made on a small scale, with the same care and attention we would give to anything we make for our own home. We prefer small batches and handmade processes, allowing each product to retain its authentic, homemade character.
Our free range chicken flock
Chickens are running free in the olive grove, foraging for seeds and insects all day and supplementing their diet with high quality feed.
Keeping them happy and stress free is a priority because happy hens make delicious eggs!
Our vegetable garden
A vegetable garden is kept in order to feed ourselves, and the chickens.
We feed our vegetables using on-site made compost and goat manure.We try to minimize hybrid plants and try to find as many heirloom variety seeds and seedlings as possible.
Our homemade products
When we have ripe fruit from our own trees, or find exceptional-quality fruit and vegetables from a local producer, we make small batches of homemade products such as liqueurs and jams.
Try our apricot jam, made with hand-peeled Bebekou apricots, and our tomato jam, made with high-quality locally grown tomatoes.
